NADF is about how an unsuspecting youth gets caught in the vortex of a sex racket that’s carried out behind the closed doors of a massage parlour, when his pictures in various compromising positions with a girl, are circulated over the internet unbeknownst of him. The film, produced by Indira Initiatives, is slated for a Diwali release.

Sarker's debut film Unishhe April (not to be mistaken with the Rituparno Ghosh film of the same name) is yet to be released, but that hasn't deterred the young director to expose the murky underbelly of the city's sex rackets that also thrives under the garb of astrology centres and escort systems. Sarker said: "I was shocked to discover the truth behind the friendship clubs and massage parlours in our city." He claimed to have delved deep into how children are drawn into and abused in this racket. Sarker has assisted directors like Suman Mukhopadhyay, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and Anjan Dutt before.

Sarker claimed that he selects his artistes according to the script and never succumbs to the latter's demand to alter it because he believes his content to be  strong enough to drive home the message.

Asked about his experience of directing Madhabi, Sarkar said that he feels blessed to have got such an opportunity. "Madhabidi was very inspiring, and listened to everything I said," he said.

Late director Samit Nag's 2008 production, Eti, was arguably the first film of its kind to deal with the sex racket in Kolkata.
